Cutting off the hand for snatching and treachery

باب الْقَطْعِ فِي الْخُلْسَةِ وَالْخِيَانَةِ

وَبِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏ ‏ ‏.‏
"‏ لَيْسَ عَلَى الْخَائِنِ قَطْعٌ ‏"
Jabir ibn Abdullah:

He also said through this chain: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Cutting of the hand is not to be inflicted on one who is treacherous.
