Chapter 114

The people of correctness in this world are the

بَابُ أَهْلُ الْمَعْرُوفِ فِي الدُّنْيَا أَهْلُ الْمَعْرُوفِ فِي الآخِرَةِ

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي هَاشِمٍ قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنِي نُصَيْرُ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ بْنِ قَبِيصَةَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ الأَسَدِيُّ، عَنْ فُلاَنٍ قَالَ‏:‏ سَمِعْتُ بُرْمَةَ بْنَ لَيْثِ بْنِ بُرْمَةَ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ قَبِيصَةَ بْنَ بُرْمَةَ الأَسَدِيَّ قَالَ‏:‏ كُنْتُ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ‏:‏ أَهْلُ الْمَعْرُوفِ فِي الدُّنْيَا هُمْ أَهْلُ الْمَعْرُوفِ فِي الْآخِرَةِ، وَأَهْلُ الْمُنْكَرِ فِي الدُّنْيَا هُمْ أَهْلُ الْمُنْكَرِ فِي الآخِرَةِ‏.‏

English

Qabisa ibn Burma al-Asadi said, "I was with the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and I heard him say, 'The people of correctness in this world are the people of correctness in the Next World. The people of the incorrect in this world are the people of the incorrect in the Next World."
