باب غُسْلِ الْمَيِّتِ وَوُضُوئِهِ بِالْمَاءِ وَالسِّدْرِ
And Ibn ‘Umar applied Hanut (a kind of scent) to the dead body of the son of Sa‘id bin Zaid and carried it and then offered the funeral prayers, but he did not perform ablution. Ibn ‘Abbas said, “A Muslim never becomes Najas (impure) whether dead or alive.” And Sa‘d said, “If he had been impure then I would not have touched him.” And the Prophet ﷺ said, “A faithful believer never becomes Najas (impure).”
