The Statement of Allah 'Azza wa Jall: "... They do not beg people persistently. ..." (2:273) And who may be considered to have enough to be content and abstain from begging"
And the statement of the Prophet : "The
person who does not find enough substance
to make him contented."
And the Statement of Allah
"(Charity) is for Fuqara (the poor), who in
Allah's Cause are restricted (from travel),
and cannot move about in the land (for trade
or work)... (up to)... Surely Allah knows it
well." (V.2:273)
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "No doubt, it is better for a person to take a rope and proceed in the morning to the
mountains and cut the wood and then sell it, and eat from this income and give alms from it than to
ask others for something."
