The performance of Salat on returning from a journey

باب الصَّلاَةِ إِذَا قَدِمَ مِنْ سَفَرٍ

حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ مُحَارِبِ بْنِ دِثَارٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، رضى الله عنهما قَالَ كُنْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي سَفَرٍ فَلَمَّا قَدِمْنَا الْمَدِينَةَ قَالَ لِي ‏ ‏‏.‏
"‏ ادْخُلِ الْمَسْجِدَ فَصَلِّ رَكْعَتَيْنِ ‏"
Jabir bin `Abdullah:

I was on a journey in the company of the Prophet (ﷺ) and when we reached Medina, he said to me, "Enter the Mosque and offer two rak`at."
