Chapter 45

The emigration of the Prophet (saws) to Al-Madina

Narrated 'Abdullah bin Zaid and Abu Hurairah The Prophet ﷺ said, "Had there been no emigration, I would have been one of the Ansar." And Abu Musa narrates that the Prophet ﷺ said, "In a dream I saw myself emigrating from Makkah to a land of date-palm trees. I thought that place was either Yamama or Hajar, but it was Al-Madina, Yathrib."
Sahih al-Bukhari 3910
Aisha:

The first child who was born in the Islamic Land (i.e. Medina) amongst the Emigrants, was `Abdullah bin Az-Zubair. They brought him to the Prophet. The Prophet (ﷺ) took a date, and after chewing it, put its juice in his mouth. So the first thing that went into the child's stomach, was the saliva of the Prophet.
