Chapter 1

Its virtues and those upon whom Hajj (Pilgrimage) is obligatory

باب فضله وبيان من فرض عليه

Bulugh al-Maram 712
وَعَنْ أَنَسٍ ‏- رضى الله عنه ‏- قَالَ: { قِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اَللَّهِ, مَا اَلسَّبِيلُ? قَالَ: } رَوَاهُ اَلدَّارَقُطْنِيُّ وَصَحَّحَهُ اَلْحَاكِمُ, وَالرَّاجِحُ إِرْسَالُهُ 1‏ .‏
" اَلزَّادُ وَالرَّاحِلَةُ "
Anas (RAA) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was asked, ‘What is as-Sabil?’ The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) replied, "Provision of food and means to make the journey." Related by Ad-Daraqutni and rendered authentic by Al-Hakim.
