The Prohibition Of Withholding Surplus Water From Common Pastureland

باب النَّهْىِ عَنْ مَنْعِ، فَضْلِ الْمَاءِ لِيَمْنَعَ بِهِ الْكَلأَ

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ حَارِثَةَ، عَنْ عَمْرَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏ ‏ ‏.‏
"‏ لاَ يُمْنَعُ فَضْلُ الْمَاءِ وَلاَ يُمْنَعُ نَقْعُ الْبِئْرِ ‏"
It was narrated from Aishah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:

“Surplus water should not be withheld, and neither should surplus water from a well.
