The disappearance of the Quran and Knowledge

باب ذَهَابِ الْقُرْآنِ وَالْعِلْمِ ‏.‏

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي وَوَكِيعٌ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ شَقِيقٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ ‏ ‏ ‏.‏ وَالْهَرْجُ الْقَتْلُ ‏.‏
"‏ يَكُونُ بَيْنَ يَدَىِ السَّاعَةِ أَيَّامٌ يُرْفَعُ فِيهَا الْعِلْمُ وَيَنْزِلُ فِيهَا الْجَهْلُ وَيَكْثُرُ فِيهَا الْهَرْجُ ‏"
It was narrated from ‘Abdullah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:

“Just before the Hour, there will be days when knowledge will disappear, ignorance will become widespread and there will be much Harj. And Harj means killing.”
