The deceased is tormented because of his family's crying for him

باب الْمَيِّتُ يُعَذَّبُ بِبُكَاءِ أَهْلِهِ عَلَيْهِ ‏

وَحَدَّثَنِي حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ، حَدَّثَنِي عُمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، أَنَّحَدَّثَهُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏ ‏ ‏.‏
"‏ إِنَّ الْمَيِّتَ يُعَذَّبُ بِبُكَاءِ الْحَىِّ ‏"
'Abdullah b. 'Umar reported that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:

The dead is punished because of the lamentation of the living.
