Upholding Ties Of Kinship, And The Prohibition Of Severing Them

باب صِلَةِ الرَّحِمِ وَتَحْرِيمِ قَطِيعَتِهَا ‏‏

حَدَّثَنِي زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، وَابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ، بْنِ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏ ‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ قَالَ سُفْيَانُ يَعْنِي قَاطِعَ رَحِمٍ ‏.‏
"‏ لاَ يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ قَاطِعٌ ‏"
Jubair b. Mut'im reported on the authority of his father that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said:

The severer would not enter Paradise. Ibn Umar said that Sufyan (explained it as): One who severs the tie of kinship would not enter Paradise.
