Chapter 15

The virtue of the regular sunnah prayers before and after the obligatory prayers, and their numbers

باب فَضْلِ السُّنَنِ الرَّاتِبَةِ قَبْلَ الْفَرَائِضِ وَبَعْدَهُنَّ وَبَيَانِ عَدَدِهِنَّ

وَحَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ بِشْرٍ، وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ هَاشِمٍ الْعَبْدِيُّ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، قَالَ النُّعْمَانُ بْنُ سَالِمٍ أَخْبَرَنِي قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَمْرَو بْنَ أَوْسٍ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ عَنْبَسَةَ، عَنْ أُمِّ حَبِيبَةَ، قَالَتْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏ ‏ ‏.‏ فَذَكَرَ بِمِثْلِهِ ‏.‏
"‏ مَا مِنْ عَبْدٍ مُسْلِمٍ تَوَضَّأَ فَأَسْبَغَ الْوُضُوءَ ثُمَّ صَلَّى لِلَّهِ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ ‏"
Umm Habiba reported the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) having said:

If any Muslim servant (of Allah) performed ablution, and performed it well, and then observed every day, the rest of the hadith is the same.
