The Prohibition Against Eating Predators

باب تَحْرِيمِ أَكْلِ السِّبَاعِ ‏‏

أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عُثْمَانَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بَقِيَّةُ، عَنْ بَحِيرٍ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ، عَنْ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ نُفَيْرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي ثَعْلَبَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏ ‏ ‏.‏
"‏ لاَ تَحِلُّ النُّهْبَى وَلاَ يَحِلُّ مِنَ السِّبَاعِ كُلُّ ذِي نَابٍ وَلاَ تَحِلُّ الْمُجْثَّمَةُ ‏"
It was narrated that Abu Tha'labah said:

"The Messenger of Allah said: 'Wealth taken by force is (not permissible), any predator that has fangs is not permissible, and any animal used for target practice is not permissible."
