The Obligation of Supplicating Allah to Exalt His Mention and its Excellence, and its Manner

باب الأمر بالصلاة عليه وفضلها وبعض صيغها

Riyad as-Salihin 1403
وعن علي رضي الله عنه قال‏:‏ قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم‏:‏ ‏ ‏ ‏(‏‏(‏رواه الترمذي وقال‏:‏ حديث حسن صحيح‏)‏‏)‏‏.‏
"‏ البخيل من ذكرت عنده، فلم يصلِ علي‏"
'Ali (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "The miser is the one in whose presence I am mentioned but he does not supplicate for me."[At- Tirmidhi].
